Wyoming is a state of small architectural firms, including sole practitioners, firms of five or fewer employees and firms of 10 or fewer employees. The AIA Small Firm Exchange (SFx) has the mission of advancing the mutual interests of architects practicing within small firms. The SFx board objectives include advocating for the value of small firms, curating and disseminating the most pertinent resources/information while informing the AIA of current issues facing small firms and areas within the current resources/information that are lacking.

Resources at www.aia.org include the annual AIA Small Firm Compensation Report and the AIA Small Firm Series, in addition to the SFx newsletter and the SFx Small Firm Library of resources for starting and growing your own firm, office management and links to the AIA Trust Resources.

As always, volunteering is one of the most important aspects of the AIA, so please consider joining the AIA SFx as an option with your membership, engaging by becoming the Wyoming AIA SFx State Rep, and even applying for the SFx board if you have served as an AIA SFx State Rep.
