25 He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, author, landscape painter, and former lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Design where he continues to offer Professional Development seminars. He has written numerous articles on design for a wide range of publications and also written three booksThe Distinctive Home: A Vision of Timeless Design, andThe Face of Home: ANewWay to Look at the Outside of Your Home, by Taunton Press (2003, 2006). His third book, House in the Landscape: Siting Your Home Naturally, by Princeton Architectural Press was published in late 2010. Jeremiah graduated fromColgate University, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Columbia University where he received the AIA School Medal for Excellence. He was elected to the New England Design Hall of Fame in 2007 and in 2012 made an Exhibiting Member of the Providence Art Club, the second oldest art club in the United States. As a new component to the AIA conference, a free public programwas presented Friday evening at the Kiwanis Community House. This pro- gramwas sponsored by the Wyoming Board of Architects and Landscape Architects. Dr. Jackson presented Designing Healthy & Sustainable Com- munities to a crowd of approximately 50 architects and community members. After the presentation there was a panel discussion from all of the presenters early in the day and questions from the audience. Jeremiah Eck also gave a public presentation in Sheridan, Wyoming on Thursday night before coming to Cheyenne. The Sheridan component was organized and sponsored separately from the AIAWinter conference by the Sheridan area Architects. Saturday morning’s events were the AIAWyoming Chapter Business Meeting and a skills workshop – Workflow for Whole Building Energy Analysis: Based on Autodesk Building Design Suite Tools. Conference sponsor CAD-1 braved the winter blizzard to poor road conditions be- tween Denver and Cheyenne to teach attendees how they could be using BIM technology to make their designs more energy efficient. After the workshop, a tour of the nearly completed Prairie Winds Elemen- tary School was provided by Allie Means, AIA. b
