40 WYOMING ARCHITECTURE .15 | www.aia-wyoming.org Sheridan Tours E ven in the early stages of spring, we were still able to swing the doors wide open and wel- come 10 visitors to the Baas Residence at The Powder Horn. We had asked that viewers consider showing up at 4:00 for a group tour but it appears that Sheridanites have redefined the concept of fashionably late. We completed the home 10 years ago and since this time the landscaping has really taken hold. We ended up guiding individuals and small groups through the home as they arrived. Indeed, we walked the home 6 times on Friday afternoon. The final group showed up at 7:00, and although we had already closed all the doors and blinds, we still had just enough sunset to make this final tour worth- while. Of consequence, however, we almost missed happy hour! Next year I hope that we will be able to welcome a dozen or more to one of our projects. A little box of wine and comfortable cushions on the terrace are keys to success.
