The Film Festival was held around the State during April, May, and June. AIA Wyoming member Architects hosted these events in their local communities. This celebration was sponsored in part by a grant from the Wyoming Board of Architects and Landscape Architects to increase awareness of the role architects play in the protection of health, safety, and welfare of the general public. The host communities included: Laramie, Riverton, Sheridan, Casper, Cheyenne, Jackson, and Rock Springs. Our AIAWyoming member volunteers coordinated the venue, adver- tising, and hosted the event at the site. The Public Awareness Committee assisted with coordination of the list of films, shipped the films, created the fliers for each community’s use, posted the events on Facebook, and coordinated with the Chapter staff on assistance with the website, distribution efforts, and other financial tasks. Many commu- nities held their FilmFestival event at their local downtown theater or similar performance space, which was the perfect venue and allowed for general public accommodations. The FilmFestival list of films exhibit was as follows: American Masters: Eero Saarinen: The Architect Who Saw The Future – Explores the life of Finnish-American modernist architectural giant Eero Saarinen, whose vi- sionary buildings include National Historic Landmarks such as St. Louis’ iconic Gateway Arch and the General Motors Technical Center in Michigan.
